Ventilation Improvements

Ventilation upgrades and advice to clear excess moisture before it turns into condensation and mould.

A room only stays dry if the moisture produced in it has somewhere to go. Cooking, bathing, drying clothes and simply breathing all add water vapour to the air, and it has to be cleared before it condenses on cold surfaces.

We look at how the room is ventilated today — extractor fans, trickle vents and general airflow — and recommend proportionate improvements rather than treating the same mould again every few months.

Important to know

Ventilation improvements reduce the moisture available to condense, but they cannot fix a room that is unusually cold, or compensate for a genuine water leak or rising damp. Where another cause is suspected, we will say so rather than fitting a fan to mask it.
